Explore the history of the lands and political traditions that contributed to the formation of modern Romania.

This collection draws inspiration from Wallachia (Țara Românească) and Moldavia (Moldova), two medieval and early modern principalities that developed their own dynasties, institutions, and cultural identities while navigating the influence of neighboring powers. It also encompasses Transylvania, a historic region with a distinct political and cultural trajectory, whose heritage forms an important part of Romania’s history.

From the reigns of voivodes such as Mircea the Elder, Vlad III Dracula, and Stephen the Great, to the heraldry, fortresses, and symbols associated with these lands, the collection reflects the diversity of the Romanian historical experience.

The union of Wallachia and Moldavia under Alexandru Ioan Cuza in 1859 established the foundation of the modern Romanian state, later known as the Kingdom of Romania. Their legacy continues to shape Romania’s national identity and historical memory.
